Understanding Your Earnings

Understanding your returns is crucial when using Katana's vaults successfully.

Upon the incorporation of a user's funds into a given strategy, they are minting shares from the vault as a receipt of their deposit. These shares adjust in value over time in order to reflect the cumulative performance of the strategy since the user first deposited.

Users can track their immediate position value on the UI by looking at the total position value on the overview page, calculated via the aforementioned shares. Current, projected, and historical returns are also available at app.katana.so/analytics.

We will also be adding a user portfolio page shortly to track historical returns across all Katana vaults for increased insight into individual performance.
